Vijaya Chowdhuri
After a crippling accident to Bishu, Bishu and Vijaya Chowdhuri have pioneered the Christian Discipleship Centre – the only fulltime residential bible college in Bangladesh . Over 600 local people have graduated and almost all are serving in villages and towns across Bangladesh, sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Bishu and Vijaya’s ministry now includes a radio studio and local language recordings for sharing the good news with illiterate Bangladeshis. Graduates from CDC are also equipped for serving in very poor communities with block courses in basic healthcare, small business and community development.
Bangladesh can be a challenging environment but Bishu and Vijaya are still passionate to serve the Lord and be a blessing to Bangladesh and its people.

Pray for Vijaya returning to Bangladesh
Pray for Vijaya Chowdhuri as she readjusts to the overbearing environment in Bangladesh – the pollution in particular places a lot of pressure on her health.
Pray also for wisdom as she continues to lead the CDC ministry, to navigate some complexities in staff relationships as well as continue to develop the vision of seeing people in the villages of Bangladesh have opportunity to know Jesus, to get education and develop a livelihood in this incredibly poor country.
Pray for the new discipleship course for Muslim background people beginning soon.
