Pray for Shearers and the wider Servants family

Pray for Muz & Sho Shearer and the wider Servants family following the tragic sudden death (from an aneurysm) of the International Administrator – Helen Sidebotham – at the Manila Airport as she was leaving after the International Leadership Council meeting to return home to England.

Helen was a wonderful person and had had a special time in Manila. She leaves her husband and two teenage children. The Shearers and the Manila team have been deeply affected by this.

Muz & Shona Shearer and the Servants Manila Team

Muz & Shona Shearer (Grace, Gabriel & Joy) have had an intense time as the Servants Manila Team (which they coordinate) has been hosting the annual meeting of the International Leadership Council of Servants – a gathering of leaders and representatives from all the Servants teams – to seek God, encourage one another and plan forward into the year ahead.

Pray the Shearer family will have some good ‘resettling’ time into normal daily rhythms.

Also continue to pray their relationships and engagement in their squatter community of Talanay will continue to deepen and grow.

Waiting for the newest Shearer

Murray, Shona, Grace & Gabriel Shearer are eagerly awaiting the expected arrival of their newest family member. Please pray for Shona’s labour and the delivery of the baby, and then the settling in process for the family.

There are the ongoing demands of living in a squatter community, the daily trek to get Grace to school and back each day (an hours trip each way, leaving at 7 in the morning), as well as adjusting to a new baby.
