John and Linda's Summer Break

John & Linda Watson are deservedly enjoying a slightly quieter time – and all of their grandchildren around! (including the brand new arrival of Milla), after a very demanding year.

Nevertheless, they continue to support and encourage by email, skype, text and however else, folk involved in cross-cultural mission all over the world, as well as to pray for them, and to promote the importance of mission in churches around the place.

Please pray for John & Linda Watson as they settle back to life in Wellington, following a period of challenging health, while continuing their love and care for people serving in mission all over the world, as well as some ministry situations they are involved with in New Zealand.

Please also pray for them as they seek to discern which among the many invitations they have for ministry opportunities overseas next year God wants them to take up.

And pray they will have a period of rest and recovery from a demanding year.

John and Linda in Chiang Mai

John & Linda Watson have had a great time with the Partners team in Chiang Mai, and have been spending time with another team of mission folk in MaeSot.

This week they will spend some time with the Good News Team in Bangkok. Continue to pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit for them, for great wisdom and for gifts they can share with the folk they are ministering to.

Also ask for them to have good health and strength.

John & Linda Watson are very grateful for our on-going prayer and support as they seek to love and support people in mission across the world.

Let's not think that because they are called and gifted for this work that it is therefore easy.

They are very aware that unless the Holy Spirit leads and empowers them, they will not be able to serve these mission folk as God intends. So please pray for God to bless them with all the gifts they need as they relate to many different people in Asia and other parts of the world.

John & Linda Watson, when they not visiting mission folk in far flung places, are continually involved with the lives and ministry of these people whom they have spent time with - and often these people face very challenging, and sometimes almost crushing circumstances.

John and Linda support these people in prayer, encouragement, stimulating support for them, advocating for them, sending them resources, loving them.

As well, they are helping Gateway develop its mission commitment, and are ministering in other churches.
