World Outreach 80th Anniversary Celebrations start in South Africa today.

Pray for John & Mary Elliott as they participate and speak over the course of the week. Pray that in personal contact and in public speaking they will be able to encourage and support people who are giving their lives in mission across Africa.

Pray also, as multitudes of people make responses to Jesus in different parts of Asia and Africa, that the Lord will establish them in lives of faithful fruitful following of Jesus, and they will be protected from the schemes and attacks of the enemy.

Pray for Shearers Bureaucratic trials

Muz & Shona Shearer are in the midst of two challenging bureaucratic/legal processes – they are having to renew their mission visas (because they expired just at the time Joy was born); and they are going through the legal process to finalise Gabriel’s adoption.

These processes can be frustrating, time consuming and fraught with complexity and delay. Please pray for the Lord to make a straight way for them in these things so they don’t have to use time and energy they can better put elsewhere.

Val returns to New Zealand

Val Bateup has returned to New Zealand for a month (she arrives in Wellington this evening) to spend some time with her mother. But while she is here she continues in frequent contact with the Good News Team in Bangkok. Pray for Val God’s provision and closeness while she is here – that she will experience God speaking and encouraging during this time. Pray also for the team as they continue to relate to children and young people right across Thailand through the correspondence course.

Watsons preparing for Australian Trip

John & Linda Watson are preparing for their next trip to visit folk working with Missionary Aviation Fellowship in Northern Australia. They leave next week. Pray for them as they seek God about what to share and to prepare themselves for the situations they will face. Ask for fresh streams of life giving water into the lives of these people. Pray also that the Lord will provide the resources John & Linda need for travel and to bless these people as they spend time with them.
